Here at Flex Technologies, we are proud of the quality of our silicone product manufacturing, as well as their prevalence of use across a wide range of industries, including aerospace, medical, agriculture, automotive, marine, and more. If you are looking for silicone tubes or hoses for any of these industry uses, then give our products a try for yourself. There is a lot that goes into the process of manufacturing silicone products, and we have been honing our methods for decades. For those of you who are unsure just what our manufacturing entails, here are some frequently asked questions about our company and products.
How are silicone hoses measured?
There are two types of measurement for our silicone products. Some are sold as an "Each" option, while others are sold "by length". For items that are sold "by length", make sure to pay close attention to the unit of measurement, as some will be marked by inches and some will be marked by feet. When purchasing elbow legs, the length will always be measured from the center line radius out.
Do you have an industry specification?
All of our silicone tubes, hoses, and even raw materials are subject to SAE J20 Class A standards. We regularly test all of our products to ensure that they comply with these requirements. Additionally, you can give our engineering department a call at any time for more information on our specifications or technical questions.
What temperature range can your hoses withstand?
Our standard polyester silicone hoses can withstand temperatures between -65 degrees Fahrenheit and 350 degrees Fahrenheit indefinitely. If you take advantage of our Nomex fabrics to reinforce your silicone hose, you can expect it to function in temperatures as high as 500 degrees Fahrenheit indefinitely. You can contact us at any time to speak to our engineering department for more details on our products temperature range.
Can these hoses be used around oil/fuel?
Our standard silicone hoses are not compatible with oil and fuel. But if you need hoses that are, then we can use special fluorocarbon and fluoro silicone liners to increase chemical resistance, allowing for use with oil and fuel. You will need to reach out to our engineering department to give them the right specifications to ensure your oil resistant hose works as intended.
How do you deliver?
Our default delivery option is usually UPS Ground. It just happens to be both speedy and cost effective. However, we do have expedited shipping options, which can be reached by selecting from the drop down menu. Shipping costs are listed in real time. Orders that are already in stock should ship within 72 hours time. Make sure to consider that before your purchase.
When are you open?
Our business hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 in the morning to 3:30 in the afternoon.
How do I build a custom hose?
If you already have a CAD Drawing or PDF file with the design specifications you need, please send them to our Design and Engineering Department (we generally only accept designs in these formats). If you need us to assist you with design or drawing, then reach out to our Engineering and Design Department. Often, they can create a design for you with just a mockup or physical sample. Fill out this form here to get in touch with our engineering team.
What are your certifications?
Flex Technologies is ISO 9000:2008 Certified. If you are unfamiliar, the ISO 9000:2008 Certification comes from the International Organization for Standardization for commitment to quality and constant improvement. It is rewarded for following specific procedures that focus on customers, industry leadership, and employee involvement.
Do you offer a warranty?
Warranty; Limited Remedy; Limited Liability
The terms of our warranty are that all web sales are final, so make sure that you have the correct color and size before ordering. Additionally, using anything but Flex Tech approved hose clamps in installation of your tubes or hoses will void the warranty. Should a product be sent in error, please contact our customer service department.
Flex Technologies' warranty ensures that products are free from defects, both in material and manufacturing, at the time of purchase. If a product ends up being defective, you will have the option to replace or get refunded for the product, all through Flex Technologies. No other warranties are included.
What do I do about origin restrictions?
Here at Flex Tech, we manufacture our products both within the USA and abroad. If you are subject to origin restrictions, please let us know in writing at the time when you place your order. We specialize in products with USA only origin restrictions. If you don't let us know in writing, there's a possibility you could have products shipped from either of our manufacturing locations. Feel free to contact our sales department for more information on origin restrictions.
Are there color options?
You can get any of the three standard colors at no extra charge: blue, black, and red. If you are looking for other color options, then we do offer custom colors by special order, although some minimums could apply. Call for more information on color options.
Can I become a distributor?
Yes, you can. Here at Flex Technologies, we offer both distributor and wholesale programs. We tailor these programs to your market, so you have all the tools you'll need for success.
